35 hours per week and 40-48 weeks per year.

Duties: Plans and implements teacher-directed and child-initiated activities. Responsible for the weekly preparation of daily lesson plans, and work as a team with their classroom staff and parents to implement curriculum that is meaningful and meets the individual and program needs. Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment conducive to growth and development of children. Completes all required paper work accurately, efficiently and timely, including but not limited to classroom evaluations, attendance records, volunteer timesheets, and follows through as appropriate. Must display a commitment to team approach problem solving and be sensitive to the needs of low-income families. Background check and physical required. 

Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool-age children. New York State permanent/initial certification in a preschool category preferred. Basic computer skills including Word/ Outlook and data entry programs. Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to work as a member of a team, good interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism with staff and clientele.
